Camp Counselor Schedule
Below you will find a typical schedule for counselors working an onsite weeklong program. The week starts on Sunday at 2:00 PM with an all staff meeting, and ends on Friday about 3:30 PM. Please remember this is just a sample - schedules for day camps, weekends and other programs will be different.
Sunday:
1:30 PM Staff Meeting at Camp Omega: It's time to continue planning for the week ahead.
4:00 PM Camper check-in begins: We welcome our new campers to Camp Omega!
5:00 PM Orientation at the Outdoor Worship Center: Introduce Camp Omega to the campers and their parents.
5:30 PM Supper
6:15 PM Cabin Time: (Name games, health screening etc.)
7:00 PM Large Group Activity: Time to play some games
8:15 PM Canteen: Time to eat some candy
Monday-Thursday
7:45 AM KP and Flag Raising
8:00 AM Breakfast
8:45 AM Cabin Clean Up and Counselor Bible Study
9:15 AM Morning Devotions: Singing and a skit
9:30 AM Bible Study: Counselors lead small group Bible Studies.
10:30 AM Activity 1: Fun time for Camp Omega activities - Activities during each of the four activity times include: swimming, canoeing, Frisbee golf, biking, soccer, basketball, sailing, challenge course, and lots more. While there are core activities that all campers participate in, campers and counselors plan their daily schedules around a number of optional activities.

12:30 PM Flat on Bunk Time: Aah, time for a brief power nap
1:15 PM Activity 2: You might get to swim during this activity time
2:45 PM Activity 3: If you didn't swim in activity 2 you will in activity 3
4:15 PM Volunteer Activity: Counselor hour off
5:15 PM Get the campers back from their activity
5:30 PM Supper
6:00 PM Activity 4
7:15 PM Large Group Game
8:30 PM Canteen
9:00 PM Campfire
10:00 PM Lights out
Friday:
9:00 AM Wake up/Shower
9:30 AM Brunch: Literally the best word in camping... Brunch
10:00 AM Pack and Clean Cabin
10:45 AM Morning Devotion
11:00 AM Bible Study
11:50 AM Counselor/Volunteer Pictures at Outdoor Worship Center
12:00 Noon Closing Devotion at the Outdoor Worship Center
